What Happens When We Stop Trying and Just Start Changing?

Let go of struggle, and something else begins…

I’ve noticed something.

Often, the more we try to force a change, the more resistance we meet. It’s not that we don’t want it. It’s not even that we don’t know what to do. It’s just that… trying harder doesn’t seem to work anymore.

And maybe it never did.

Because when the Active Mind is working overtime, it can be easy to forget that there’s something deeper - something softer and more powerful - that already understands what’s needed. The Inner Mind doesn’t respond to pressure. It responds to permission. To stillness. To trust.

In hypnosis, we find that place. The part of us that can just let go of the struggle and allow something new to emerge - naturally, gently, without effort.

Something I Try:

Sometimes, when the noise gets too loud, I breathe… slowly in… and out.

…slowly in….focus and hold that breath…..slowly out….feel the air leave…. then slowly in again

And I ask myself:

“If this change I wanted happened easily, naturally… where would that change begin?”

I don’t rush the answer. I just allow space. And often, change begins right there, now….
